Map Path("~/images/kurum/") Dim f Name As String = fu. File Name Dim Full Pathed File As String = My Path & f Name Try If fu. Old Values("Kurum Logo Path") Dim new Name As String = e.

I've got the database storing a filename (a person's picture) in a column. Thanks I am still having issues with this because now I am forced to use Eval() and not Bind(), as the columns are INT and not BIT. Therefore I am back to square one: I have to use Eval() with a Convert. If it's bound via Linq Data Source, Sql Data Source or Object Data Source I suggest you have a look at the Updating Event. Old Values("Kurum Logo Path") End If Catch ex As Exception Response. I have googled, binged, yahooed, trialed & errored with no success. I have checked permissions for the folder and Application, they are OK.I want to be able to see the changes a user makes while in the Edit Mode of Form View. The New Values and Old Values collection are empty. No old or new values so update to database fails because fields are set to not null.My understanding is that in the Form View Item Updating event, I should be able to get a collection of Keys, Old Values, and New Values. (They are also empty in the Item Updated event) I need the old & new values to see what has changed. Checked formview edititemtemplate over and over, checked update parameters, checked sql.I've tried using javascript to change the control - but the new file name will actually be different than what they upload; which javascript can't necessarily "predict" and reliably put the correct file name into the hidden form field Any suggestions? Thanks OK - I found the answer not too long after I posted the question. This allows you to provide an event-handling method that performs a custom routine, such as HTML encoding the values of a record before updating it in the data source, whenever this event occurs.A Form View Update Event Args object is passed to the event-handling method, which allows you to determine the value of an optional command argument sent to the Form View control and to indicate that the update operation should be canceled.
